Alton L. Brown was born in Williston, FL to the late Deacon Henry L. Brown Sr. and Mother Margaret Rivers-Brown on January 21, 1957. He attended and graduated from Williston High school with the class of 1975.
He was quiet and had great manners growing up. He was baptized at an early age and attended Greater Rock Hill Baptist Church under the Pastoral leadership of the late Reverend WJ Perry.
He was a faithful worker employed at VE Whitehurst Construction Company as a steam roller operator for 47 years.
Alman was loved by many. He was a die hard FSU fan and also loved the Miami Dolphins. He enjoyed singing and rapping.
On Thursday, March 10th 2022 God saw that he was getting tired and weary and sent His angel of mercy to remove a full blossom from His garden. Alton heard the voice of Jesus say “Come unto me and rest, lay down they head unto my breast”.
Alman will be missed by so many who knew him and loved him. His memory will be cherished by one daughter Valencia Woodard of Williston, FL, 1 stepson Andre Robinson. 3 sisters Marilyne Brown, Delores Williams and Catherine Brown all of Williston, FL, 3 brothers Harold Brown Sr (Vanessa), Israel Brown (Lillie) both of Williston, FL, and Henry Brown Jr. (Shirley) of Columbia SC. 3 grandchildren Zsakea Monroe, Mi’Kaya Wimberly and Azari Wheeler. special nieces and nephews Eugene Brown (Verdell), Derrian Brown, Mario Brown, Portia Brown, Margaret Brown, Marland Williams. Sister-in-laws Norma Jean Scott, Sandra Wallace, Linda Williams, Mary Brown, Kathy Brown. Father-in-law Pastor John Wallace (Joann) Special friends Kenny Williams, Ralph “Snowman” Gaines, the entire Whitehurst crew, Julia Ross, Richard Porter. a host of other nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
Alton was preceded in death by his wife Debra Brown, parents Deacon Henry Sr. and Margaret Brown, 2 brothers Deacon Jessie Brown and Deacon James Brown Sr.
