Charles Johnson

Charles Johnson was born on May 4,1943 to Ms. Cleo Robinson who preceded him in death. Mr. Johnson graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in Dunnellon, Florida, with the Class of 1963.In the 1960’s Mr. Johnson moved from Dunnellon, FL to Ft. Lauderdale, FL where he spent the rest of his life. Mr. Johnson Met his loving wife Ms. Gloria Timmons Johnson in 1977. On June 28, 1985, Mr. Johnson married Ms. Gloria Timmons and standing firm to their vows, “Till death do us Part" they were married for 36 years. Mr. Charles was a Devoted Member at Mt. Hermon AME Church in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, under the leadership of Rev. Henry E. Green, II. Serving on the Usher Board #1, Board of Trustees, Sons of Allen, and various other ministries.  Mr. Charles was a man of great respect. He was a working man; Working as a Truck Driver for Florida Beverage for 18 years; He also worked and Retired as a manager from J.M Pontiac he worked there for 20+ years. Mr. Charles transitioned from this Life to eternity on December 18, 2021, surrounded by his loving family, to forever rest in the arms of his Savior Jesus Christ.

Mr. Charles was a wonderful man inside and out he touched the lives of many those who will miss him eternally. His memories are left to be cherished by his loving Wife: Mrs. Gloria Timmons Johnson; Son: Kenny B. Geathers; 4 Sisters: Lessie B. Davis of Vero Beach, FL, Ethel Mae Carter, Mable Green, Pearlie Mae Bowers all of Gainesville, FL, and Ida Mae Washington(Reverend Al) of Dunnellon, FL;  Brother: Joe Lewis Robinson of Bronson, FL; Sister-In-Laws: Rossetta Smith(Samuel) of Jacksonville, FL, Shirley Mae Davis, Gearldine Timmons, both of Cross City, FL , and Tammie Timmons(Jimmie); Brother-In-Laws: Cleve Timmons(Brenda), Andrew Timmons(Zettie), Johnny Timmons, all of Cross City, Florida; Grandchildren: Kenny Gathers Jr., Shamika Overton; 3 Great-Grand Children; Godson: Donnell Teague; Best Friend: Dennis Daniel; A host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and Sorrowing Friends.
