Obituary

Ms. Tammy Lynn Dexter was born on March 6, 1966 in Gainesville, FL to Theria Lewis and Russell Dexter. She graduated from Loften High School in 1984. Tammy loved God and was a faithful servant at Open Door Ministries for many years. She was a woman with many talents which included Licensed Cosmetologist, Nursing Tech, and Realtor. Tammy loved her children, grandchildren and family. Tammy like to “keep it real.” She was an advocate for truth and instilled in her children and grandchildren the importance of having a relationship with God. She was a faithful mother and grandmother. She took her role seriously, often sacrificing to make sure her babies were well taken care of. She liked to have fun and you would often see her gathering her children and grands for meals and dancing poolside. Tammy loved to exercise and fitness was important. She was a go-getter. She searched for information on things she didn't know how to do and taught herself how to do so many things including construction. There was nothing she couldn’t do. Tammy was truly a jack of all trades. She would reinvent herself over and over to accomplish
whatever goals she set. She liked to laugh and have fun. She loved to serve in the community and loved to educate others. She was a woman with style and class and knew exactly what she wanted and how she wanted it. She enjoyed beautifying everything she touched. She will be greatly missed by her mother, children, grandchildren, siblings, loved ones and friends.
She leaves to cherish her memory her mother Theria Lewis, her children, Fermon Green 3rd , Natasha Cunningham, Cecilia Sams, Gene Rowe Jr., January Rowe, ex-husband, Gene Rowe Sr., (of 33 years), Her Grandchildren: Heaven Sams, Harmonie Sams, Eric Gadson.
